The Challenge Communicating isn't like it used to be. The channels, the technology, the conversations - it's all changed. So when Samsung asked us to promote the Galaxy Collection to a younger tech-savvy audience, we decided to embrace the diversity of the web. We set out to find the real voices, the creative minds and get them to create great content, talking about the Galaxy Collection using voices we know would resonate across digital and social media.
The Solution We created a platform, put the technology in the hands of key social influencers and called it Over To You. We found passionate, creative individuals with strong social followings, people who could kick-start conversations and inspire the like-minded people. We searched high and low, pulling together a willfully chaotic and curious bunch of artists, dancers, DJs, magicians, comedians, musicians, players, fashionistas, explorers, entrepreneurs, foodies, gamers, BMXers, travellers, swimmers, rappers, artists and more. Then we gave this eclectic mix the technology they needed to bring their ideas to life and then supported them as they created their films.
The Result The results were unexpected and colourful. A living, breathing, video encyclopedia demo-ing the power of the Galaxy S4 Collection. And once the films were finished, our new partners did what comes natural to them... they shared their films with the world. By collaborating with young creative influencers and tapping into their social channels, we knew we were reaching exactly the right people - a fact borne out via exceptionally strong video completion rates.
